We're sure you've read many articles on "how to choose" the right climbing shoes, but what about choosing the right boots to access your favorite boulders and crags? You will surely agree that it is an absolute need to have shoes that will make your approach to your favorite places as easy as possible. Plus those that will help you during the actual climbs. That is why we are introducing a new collection of Rafiki street/approach shoes!

RAFIKI SHOES

Why do you need a proper boots (besides a right chosen climbing shoes) that will allow you to access various climbing areas?

The very first reason is the greater durability thanks to high-quality and precise processing. We classify all of our models as the "street/urban approach" shoes, which means only one thing - their dual use, so you can go out into them to the city, but they will hold up well even in more demanding terrains.

All models have the same shaped sole, which (thanks to the pronounced serrations), enables safe movement in nature and rocky terrain. It was almost necessary to choose a suitable mixture for the sole, and here we bet on materials that are commonly used by verified manufacturers of climbing shoes. The processing of the sole will give you enough confidence even on unstable terrain, and the high adhesion together with the excellent grip will prevent unwanted "slipping off".

FEATURES & MATERIALS

All our shoes have a flat climbing tip, which increases friction and the entire area that comes into contact with the ground. We used premium brushed leather for the upper parts of the shoes, which will provide greater durability and longer lifespan.

The midsole is made of soft and flexible EVA foam, which you may know from other outdoor shoes. EVA foam perfectly absorbs shocks, provides a rebound cushion, and increases foot support, stability, and the level of comfort.

RAFIKI designers come up with a detailed design and a selection of several color combinations for each model. You can look forward to a number of technical features such as practical loops for easy slipping into boots, extended lacing, step-on heel, or the possibility of attaching them to your harness.

RAFIKI MONTE

MONTE, the most robust piece from the RAFIKI shoe rack, is prepared for more complicated terrain. They could be described as "approaching shoes", but compared to classic approach shoes (which are very hard and specially reinforced) MONTE still maintains softness and comfort, thanks to the softer midsole.

They are more versatile than classic approach shoes. You may take them for access to rock cliffs and also for daily errands around your home town. If you want to test the combination of approach shoe with a shoe suitable for everyday hiking, go exactly in this pair!

MONTE is a great partner, with which you can go straight to the rocks after work and you don't have to carry extra shoes in your backpack and deal with changing them.

Among the main advantages of MONTE is the rubberized tip, which protects your thumbs and fingers. As well as rubberized heel for greater durability and longevity of the shoes. The rubber sole made of a special compound will ensure that you do not slip, and the flat shape of the toes will help in more technical terrains.

The upper part is made of premium brushed leather, while the midsole is made of improved EVA foam. Extended lacing to front toe, means you can tighten/loosen the shoe exactly where you need. Practical loop for easy slip-in or quickly attaching to your harness.

RAFIKI ACCESS

The second model that is waiting for your try is the ACCESS shoe, and as the name itself suggests, comfortable access to the rocks is their greatest advantage. ACCESS is the best choice for climbers, because thanks to the slip-on system and the possibility of stepping on the heel, offer you comfort and a feeling as if you were "walking in slippers".

This "loose heel" allows you to walk even without fully putting on shoes and is suitable for anyone who is constantly changing from climbing to non-climbing shoes. When you want to rest after you climbed a route or after a boulder attempt or even when belaying a partner and you don't like wearing classic shoes for a long time , ACCESS will solve this problem!

In addition, they are super comfy, so you can walk in them both under the rocks and in the city. Another crafty element of them is a specially designed tongue with stitching on one side, so it gives them real comfort, accessibility and does not require any complicated adjustments.

Shortly, ACCESS are modern, comfortable flip-flops, but still with sufficient strength even for hiking to climbing crags. Such a crossover between approach and street shoe, that's why we call them "hybrid".
